I hope it makes the supporters of the Death Penalty happy that the US is up there with China and Iran when it comes to Human Rights. Not only does is it a sick and wrong practice but it also violates international human rights laws. Why would some people support the Government have the power to kill its own citizens? The Death penalty is not a deterrent; crime rates have not gone down and life in prison also guarantees no future crimes. The Death Penalty needs to stop and the US needs to join the other sophisticated societies that have put an end to sanctioned Government killing.
