Default Most corporations pay no U.S. income taxes

These corporate loopholes that allow these major corporations to operate without having to their share of taxes need to be closed. The middle class and poor are being taxed to the breaking point while these rich companies get away without anything.

Most U.S. and foreign corporations doing business in the United States avoid paying any federal income taxes, despite trillions of dollars worth of sales, a government study released on Tuesday said.

It's obvious that the tax codes need to be examined and rewritten to ensure corporations pay their fair share. Obama has said he will close those loopholes.

Taxing corporations will only make them leave the US, then no one has employment.

Taxing corporations is the right thing to do. Too many people in this world do not have the right values, including the corporations. The problem is that if corporations don't like it, corporations go 'bye-bye', and so does employment levels, like you said Nobama. The key is being able to find the balance between taxing corporations and making them happy (which is almost impossible to do without bombing employment levels).

These large companies pay social security to their employees. Which is a huge chunk of income to the Government. Not to mention actually employing people, who pay income taxes. If we tax the companies more then they will leave.

I know. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer, something needs to be done.

I thought that big corporations such as Exxon Mobile and Walmart are already being taxed (I believe the tax is somewhere around 30%), but I could be wrong. In my opinion, every citizen should have the same amount of taxes to pay (percentage-wise). If someone a business manager is making more money than a janitor, they would still be both taxed the same amount. It is not making the rich richer and the poor poorer, it would be fair and equal. Corporations should have a higher tax than the citizens, but not too high, or the corporations will simply leave to another country with lower taxes. Everyone should have the same amount of taxes.
