Things we can do to save the Earth

Today is Earth Day. Earth Day is a day to inspire awareness and appreciation for the Earth's environment. But it's shouldn't just be one day where we look after the only home we have, it should be everyday! Lets list some ways that we can all help out and save our home. I'll start:

Recycle the newspaper you read. If every newspaper was recycled, we could save about 250,000,000 trees.
Turn off the light when you leave the room.
Recycle the can of soda you drink. Recycling one aluminum can saves enough energy to watch a TV for three hours.

Buy a water filter and drink from the tap instead of buying gallons of water.

Plant a Tree.
Don't throw garbage out of your car window.
Don't leave your computer on overnight or when your not using it.
If your going somewhere close, walk or ride a bike don't take the car.
Eat less meat.

Animal farming destroys forest to make land for the animals to graze. It also wastes water and increases pesticides that are being used to grow the soy, grain and other feed the animals need. There are more than twice as many chickens on the planet as humans, over a billion pigs, 2 billion cows and sheep and they all eat more food than they produce. Not to mention the methane gas cows produce.
