Do you believe in the bible?

The bible is a collection of books written about the life of Jesus Christ and accepted by Christians as scripture and is central to the life of the Christian church. Yet, the bible was not written by god. The bible was written by men, variety of imperfect men over thousands of years. So who is to say that the stories in it are real? Or what is in it is what God really wants? If the bible is not the true word of God (meaning he did not write it) then why do people follow it?

I think the important aspect you are missing is faith. No one knows if God or the Bible are real, what people have is faith. Faith that what they read and pray are real.

The Bible is the Word of God. That is to say, as a result of God's direct inspiration the words of Scripture, though put to pen by people, are in fact the words of God Himself. Through propositions expressed in ordinary human language, the Creator of the universe has revealed Himself and intonation about His creatures. The Bible's words are true, clear, and powerful if only because they are His words, breathed from His mouth, as it were.

Why does God need a book to communicate with his creations? The Bible was written by men who had their own opinions. How do we know it is all what God really wanted us to know/read?

Yes, but they were men that were inspired by God to write what they wrote. God knew what he was doing and in the end, what would be written.

I believe the bible is a great book to try and live your life by. Through stories it tells us the proper way to live our lives and be a better person. It teaches us peace and to love everyone. Who cares who wrote it.

Why is that Jesus spoke and tough love and yet in the bible there is hate? Why can't gay people marry when Jesus loved everyone?

Well I agree with you there. Jesus did love everyone, not the problem is the church has been changing to what THEY think is right.

I go to church to pray. I go to church for the closeness I feel to God there. I don't care what the Catholic church thinks now. I know Jesus loved everyone, gay or anyone else. My Religion is not forced upon me by the church I go to. My Religion is what I think after 31 years of living.

Yes, I believe the bible to be the word of god. God revealed Himself as the true and living God, and that as one aspect of His divine self-revelation God inspired His People to produce scriptures, i.e. writings which constitute the true and genuine expressions of His Truth and His Will for His People and for the whole world.

One of the more important one is where someone has written something which more
precious things in the world every one in this world know the importance of Bible

while now human being came and having it what it is how it is at the same time
its a matter of faith and belief..........!

Hi, Would you believe in the Bible if you were shown proof? The Genesis Creation Story contains in it's 31 versed much that is generally unseen. It could not have been written by men. It is divinly inspired. dan b
