A growing al Qaida -backed insurgency, combined with the Pakistani army's reluctance to launch an all-out crackdown, political infighting and energy and food shortages are plunging America's key ally in the war on terror deeper into turmoil and violence, says a soon-to-be completed U.S. intelligence assessment.

This isn't good. We can not allow the Pakistani government to fall and allow their nukes to fall into the wrong hands.

Pakistan is nearing civil war. The new civilian government will not be able to govern the county, fight AQ, the Taliban, control the army who are not loyal to them and the security services who created the Taliban. What will happen to the nukes? Scary time we're living in.

We have to make the nukes don't fall into the wrong hands if the government falls. I wonder if we have an account of how many nukes they have?

US special forces have had control of Pakistan's Nukes since a little after 9-11. It was a condition for the US/Pakistan alliance.
